Our Aim

Electrical control and communications has built a solid reputation for providing quality workmanship and superior service at a fair price, liaising with our clients and other trades in order to complete the project, however large or small, within the required timescale and to a high quality standard.  We always use high quality products to ensure the long term efficiency of the installation. All work is guaranteed

Testing

It is accepted that every electrical installation deteriorates with usage and age. The person responsible for the maintenance of the installation has a duty of care to the not only other persons in the work place, but to all persons that use the installation.  They could be members of the public and/or persons employed to maintain or service the installation. It is necessary therefore for the installation to be periodically inspected and tested and a report on its condition.  Defects observed during an inspection and test may be rectified so as to ensure the continued safe use of the installation.  Each installation is thoroughly inspected and tested in accordance with bs7671:2001 IEE wiring regulations 16th editions

Electrical Safety in Your Home

Each year, defective wiring or appliances cause about 9,000 fires in homes like yours.

Recent surveys show that over 2 million homes in the UK need some kind of electrical repair.  Older houses are especially at risk.

There are also 2,00 injuries and 30 deaths from electrocution in the home, many of which are DIY and amateur repairs.

That’s why the Institution of Electrical Engineers recommends that home wiring installations are examined every ten years by a qualified electrician

Most electrical wiring is hidden, but here are a few things which may easily be able to check yourself:

Is your wiring more than 15 years old?

Has it been longer than ten years since the wiring was checked?

Has electrical work been carried out by amateurs and never checked?

Do your plugs and sockets get hot?

Do your fuses blow regularly and for no obvious reason?

Do you have to use adaptors routinely to run your appliances?

Do your lights use the old, twisted type flex?

Do you often use extension cables?

Do you use electrical equipment outdoors?
